Not even rain could put a damper on this beautiful day....Erica and Nick just smiled, changed their plans, and went on with the day.  Erica said she always wanted a fall wedding, she just didn't know it would be in the middle of August.  What an amazing attitude!!  Ali and I photographed Erica and Nick's beautiful day a couple of weeks ago at Shilshole Bay Beach Club in Seattle.  The wedding was planned to be an outdoor event, but due to the rain it was moved in doors.  Jessica, the event coordinator and the staff at the Beach Club did an amazing job of rolling with the punches, and making things work.  The bouquets and center pieces were beautiful...thanks to Christopher Flowers.  And, in the end, two people who truely love one another got married, and the day was perfect!  This is one VERY amazing couple!  Ali and I enjoyed every second we got to spend with them throughout the process of photgraphing them....there Engagement Session, dinner at their favorite hang out, and finaly the BIG day.  Together they have a care free, relaxed, and fun loving attitude and it's easy to see why they love each other.

Ali and I had never worked at Willows Lodge before....WOW, what a beutiful venue!  We always like to show up early, but especially to a new venue.  We arrived about an hour before pictures were set to begin and ran in to Viviano in the lobby.  He was looking excited and happy and well, maybe a little nervous.  It worked out perfect that we ran into Viv because he was able to give us the tour.....it really is an AMAZING venue!  After our tour we found the girls...mostly ready, looking beautiful, and this amazing day was off to a great start!

This was truly a beautiful day, an amazing celebration of two people who are very in LOVE and two families that couldn't be happier for them.  The ceremony was officiated by Annemarie Juhlian, she does such a nice job.  The ceremony was fun, light hearted, warm, and loving just like Viv and Jen.  Ali and I had so much fun working with the brand new Mr. and Mrs.... and their family and friends were an absolute joy.  The entire day was a smooth sailing and joyous occasion....YAY!!  Congratulations Viv and Jen!

Jocelyn and Matt were married on July 9th at Newcastle Golf Club it's just outside of Seattle with and amazing view of the city.  Ali and I had the honor of photographing this beautiful wedding!  The weather was beautiful, in fact, it was so warm and sunny it was hard to believe we were in the Seattle area.  Jocelyn and Matt have an amazing group of family and friends, which made the day even more special.  All in all it was a beautiful wedding, and a perfect day!

Ali and I couldn't be happier for our new friends! This was a wedding day that most certainly marks the start of a long and happy life together because Jocelyn and Matt are most certainly in LOVE!

Ali and I photographed Jordan and Kari for their Engagement Session in Seattle.  We started at the Seattle Center, then Gasworks park, and Freemont area.  What an awesome day...finally summer arrives!  Engagement Sessions are so much fun, and they are the perfect way to ger comfortable with being in front of the camera.  No pressure, no worries, just a fun, romantic way to spend the day with your soon to be hubby.    Jordan and Kari are GREAT and it didn't take them long at all to warm up to the camera.  It just doesn't get any better than a sunny afternoon, a few laughs, a few kisses, and a few thoughts of the upcoming BIG day!! 

Erica is no longer a bridesmaid...she's about to be a bride....YAY!!

Ali and I first met Erica when she was a bridesmaid at Chris and Courtney's wedding....it was one of our favorites from last year.  Now Erica and Nick are getting married, and Ali and I are thrilled to be a part of it!!

We photographed their Engagement Session last week at the Seattle Center on a beautiful Thursday afternoon.  It was one of those days that really makes me appreciate what we do, getting to spend the day photographing a great couple, wandering around Seattle Center on a warm and sunny afternoon.....soooooo perfect!!  Erica and Nick are Great!  Erica made it clear that having her picture taken wasn't on the top of her list of favorite things to do....and aparrently Nick doesn't even allow pictures while on vacation.   I'm sorta wondering if that was all a front because they look comfortable and happy in front of the camera to me....and Ali and I had no problem capturing some amazing images of the two of them!!  Next stop....wedding day!!

Ali and I photographed Jason and Olivia last week for their second Super Rad Engagement Session.  Their first session was one of my very favorite sessions from last year, but it was so long ago that we all agreed it would be fun to do another one.    If you haven't seen it yet you should check it out!!

Session ONE

Once again we had an absolute blast!!  One of the things that makes Jason and Olivia's images stand out to me,  is them adding there own character into the session.  I LOVE THAT, and it's very important!!  We want your images to be about you, to tell the story of you as a couple, who you are, and who you love.  So, the more of yourself you put into the sessions the better.  For this session we ran all over downtown Seattle.  Pike Place Market, Mammas Kitchen (where they had their first date), The Seattle Center, and the Queen Anne area.  Next stop...WEDDING DAY!  Ali and I can't wait...we know it's going to be amazing!! 

Ali and I photographed Viv and Jen's Engagement session last week in Bellingham.  What a great location!  Western Washington University campus, Whatcom Falls, and the ferry terminal on a beautiful sunny day with an awesome couple to photograph....WOW!  This is exactly why I love what I do.  I can't wait for the wedding, I know it's going to be amazing because Viv and Jen are a total blast! 

Ali and I left Whidbey Island on the morning of May day and headed towards the Nile golf and country club in Mount Lake Terrace (the location for the reception) to photograph Mark and Theresa's BIG day.  It was pouring down rain, and I mean pouring!  I remembered having lunch with Mark and Theresa the first time we met them and Mark said jokingly "May day is usually something you call out when you,re in trouble. I'm not sure that May day is  the best day for a wedding."  I started to wonder if he was right.  We drove along trying to stay positive but freaking out on the inside...and then as we left Everett behind (just a few minutes from our destination) the heavens parted, the sun came out and the day became the beautiful spring day we had all hoped for.  Clearly Mark and Theresa know someone in charge because it seemed like a miracle to me, and the day just got better from there!  I'm not sure I remember the last time I was a part of a wedding day that ran so smoothly...everything was perfect, and in Mark's words "That's the way Theresa planned it."  Ali and I had so much fun!  The images make me smile every time I see them.  Mark and Theresa are in LOVE and thier friends and family couldn't be happier!  What an awesome couple with an amazing family!!
