Our Newest Album Line.....

We are constantly searching for the best products on the market here at Vail Studio, and in that spirit we came across a company that we are so proud to be working with.  Their products are impecable!! 

Our first album showed up a few days ago and we could not be happier.....it is BEAUTIFUL!!  We love that this is a small, family owned, local company just like us and anytime we get the chance to support local and family owned we are so happy to do so.  These albums are hand crafted, leather bound, beuatiful works of art and there are plenty of options to suit everyones unique taste.   We are just so pleased to be able to offer this AMAZING line of albums along with all the other GREAT products we offer.

Ali and I photographed Kyle and Chrisina's wedding back in September of last year.  We really enjoyed working with and getting to know them.  They are a GREAT couple!!  Genuine....happy....and in LOVE!  If you would like to see some of my favorites from the wedding day CHECK THEM OUT.  We also had a blast photographing their Engagement Session in Tacoma.  The album design is always so much fun for me....I get to relive the wedding day and tell the story through images and design.  It's even more fun for me to hear that our clients got to do the same....relive their wedding day, and they get to relive it everytime they open this beautiful work of art we have created for them.   It is such an honor to be chosen for such an important job!!

 As promised....some more images from the photo shoot Ali and I did with Nicole in Fairhaven a couple nights ago.  It's always so much fun to work at night.  All the lights create so much drama and life.  Fairhaven is a really cool spot with lots of texture and interesting alley ways we always really enjoy working there.  I love the old phone booths!!  All of these things put together with a pretty girl to photograph makes me a happy boy.  I think the results are pretty cool.....but I always love to hear what you think.

Photo of the Week!!

Ali and I went up to Fairhaven in Bellingham a couple of nights ago to photograph Nicole.  Working at night is so much fun!!  Fairhaven is a GREAT little spot too!!  We have worked there before but it's been awhile.  I really like this image but I would love to hear what you think......  Also, if you like this image then be sure to check back in the morning.  I'll be putting up a few more images of Nicole taken that same evening.

For all of you information junkies out there.....this image was shot hand held at a 10th of a second at ISO 500 f2.8 using my 24-70mm at 30mm and two off camera strobes.

Photo of the Week!!

I thought it would be fun to show you a before and after image.  I am working on Kyle and Christina's album. This is one of the images that they chose for their album.  It's also one of my favorites because I know it has special meaning to them because of the marquee......so I wanted it to be GREAT!!  Obviously I don't put this much work into every image, not every image needs this much work.  Sometimes the only way to get the image perfect is good old Photoshop.  I am really pleased with this image now.  I already thought the emotion was there in the subject.....now the rest of the image is the way I invisioned it too.  Let me know what you think......
